We have a clear starry sky tonight, but we didn’t get a great sunset. Nicely captured, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete! I really do get to see some great skies here!
Gorgeous
Thank you, Laura!
Beautiful photographs!
Thanks, Dilip!
Sue, I like the way the trees are forming silhouettes in the evening light. Well done!
Oh, I love evening light!
Beautiful 🙂
Thanks, Lynn! Another great show outside my window!
You captured a lovely show 🙂
😊😊
I love watching and photographing the changing light. well done.
Pleased you like these, Maggie
We had some pink streaks tonight, but last night was a real humdinger of a deep pink sky. Couldn’t take my eyes off it!
But no images?
I do have one or two for the end of the month 🙂
Oh, good! And is Alice around?
She doesn’t stray very far 🙂
Ah, but the best of the sunset might be in the other direction – I don’t know!!
The sun sets directly in front of us now, away from Roger’s Tower and then moves west behind Trink Hill in summer, which is when Alice is in focus. But the summer sunsets aren’t anything like as good as the winter ones.
Oh, I’ve been thinking the same here…the winter sunsets have way more intensity…..
Lovely shots. So nice that you have not only beautiful skies, but those trees to frame the shots. 😀
Agreed! Those trees do help….
I’m envious. We get the lovely sunsets, but without climbing on my roof, there’s nowhere here I can get a nicely framed shot of them.
I know I’m lucky….sunsets and my late afternoon light on sunny days!
We’re lucky too, enjoying the pm vicariously through your photos 😀
That’s nice of you to say so, Su!
Lovely sunset, especially the first shot, beautiful tones.
It was almost eldritch….weird, slightly sinister tones….
I would never get anything done till after sunset with those mesmerising skies to watch
Doesn’t last long…
A wonderful sequence.
Yes, it was worth seeing it play out…
