Contrast and vibrance

Nearly come to the end of the current crop of daffodil images. I do love a black background at times, it can really enhance the subject:

I love the way the background makes these blooms really vibrant. Yesterday I tried a number of different points of view, to create different moods, and here a different angle has given yet another composition – the black background was the TV screen to the side!

  1. The contrast with the black background makes the daffodils stand out so nicely. I have to try this. Thanks!

  2. I am with you on that black background. Worked well for Mapplethorpe too!
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. I love that black background as well – and I also use my TV!

  4. Works for me, Sue. I can’t wait for those first daffodils here!!

  5. I like this one best of all so far. What a good idea the tv screen is, I would never have thought of that

  6. best thing showing on tv now – zinging out those Spring colours

  7. The TV screen, was that lucky new discovery or have you used it before?
