One Word Sunday: Lines

To me, lines has always meant railway lines:

Out of Waterloo in the evening

Found this one a while ago, taken by my father in the early 1960s, I think

Railway lines and overhead lines, early 1960s?

  1. I love the top photo. It reminds of train trips I have taken into and out of Melbourne, Australia ever since I was a young child.

  2. Although this is from Manchester, I was reminded of the numerous railway lines leading into London Bridge Station during my youth. I crossed a bridge on the way to school, and would see a very similar view.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. Railroad lines always give me a yen to travel, but this morning it will only be to church and then to work…and not by rail. Ahh, well.

  5. Oh, I love that Manchester shot Sue. I have been into that station so many times over the last 40 years, and this one take some imagining now.
