Black & White Sunday: Still Life

Here goes for an attempt (processing on my iPad) at a fairly high key Still Life, in keeping with the title of the book (Anil’s Ghost):

  1. Lacks depth, Sue? That’s almost certainly the wrong technical term. So is, ‘it’s a bit wishy washy’ but I like it. 🙂 🙂 I had better leave now, before I outstay my welcome.

  2. Is that a folding camera on the right?

  3. I think it works with the title of the book and the top bleeds into your blog theme, giving even more of a ghostly feeling.

  4. The black and white form add a dramatic effect to your still life. I like it.

  5. Mmm, what a beautiful setting with that vintage camera in the corner. I love your high keys, Sue and this one is particularly nice. The book cover grabs my attention. It looks as if it is a shadow of your room. Very cool detail and focus. Brilliant! Thank you!

  6. I can never decide whether or not I like High Key images, probably more so in colour. I think this lacks contrast and definition (I love your crisp clean B&W images) but since you were going for a ghostly look I believe you have succeeded.

  7. Like Jude, I think the ‘ghostly look’ worked well.
    Best wishes, Pete.
