Still Life with dried flowers

A sunny afternoon here, but with no energy to go out after a load of cooking, I decided to make the most of the light. Tried a couple of images for this one  – I know which I prefer, but how about you?

  1. I actually prefer the colour one this time, Sue.
The light and shade works better in the black & White, but I like the delicate browns.
    Best wishes, Pete.

That one happens to be my preferred version – in full colour it was too much, but by de saturating a little, I think it conveys the mood…

  2. My thoughts as well, sometimes b&w can be a little harsh sometimes. the muted colour is just right:)

  3. The monochrome photo has the greatest appeal as a still life, as far as my personal preference goes. Well done!

  4. Count me in on the color shot, Sue.

  5. I’m running with the pack on this one. The de-saturation works beautifully 🙂

  6. I like the composition better in the coloured image.

  7. Nope! Awkward as ever, I like the black and white. 🙂 🙂 I can see I have some catch up to do, Sue.

  8. Love them both, but the ‘rusty’ one has the edge. 🙂

  9. Too hard to choose, both have merit.

  10. The first for the colour the second for the light.
