Night in Madrid

Another archive image, that I have converted to monochrome… not entirely successfully, as there are some odd glaring bits on the tarmac… But I thought this evening shot of a courtyard in Madrid could look a bit moody, a bit ‘noir’…

  1. Moody indeed, and the tarmac doesn’t bother me at all – part of the atmosphere – but to me the white oblong on the back of the bike’s a bit distracting.

  2. It does, Sue! You got the noir look.

  3. I agree with Meg, that number plate has got to go, otherwise it is perfect 🙂

  4. I can see a story happening just outside the frame… the parked bike and the mood makes me wonder what happens outside… I have an idea for this one… can I write to the picture?

  5. I like it, very atmospheric – except the number plate! 🙂

  7. Great image … I like the soft dark grey shades … well done. And I want to thank you for the card .. arrived today, so I got it in time. A big heart thank you. Mine will arrive by e-mail.

  8. If only there’d been someone in a trench coat standing in that door smoking a cigarette. 🙂
