Belatedly, a couple of ‘Warm’ images for Ailsa’s Travel Theme:

Some warm coloured flowers:

…and a nice warm fire:

  1. Noting like the comforting sight of a real fire. That warmed me up!
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. We have yet to have our first fire of the season…

  3. The flowers like flames between the fire. So beautiful.

  4. Lovely! I have some rather more flamboyant Stargazer lilies on my hearth but those fresias are gorgeous. 🙂 🙂 (did you ever resolve the ‘bark’ issue?)

  5. I hope the freesia had perfume, so often I find they don’t nowadays 😦 But the colours are fab. I have already had the wood burner going a few times, mostly for the wonderful atmosphere it creates rather than warmth, though it does throw out some heat!

I only occasionally buy freesias because of the lack of scent….surely that’s the whole point of a freesia! I do find the florist usually has scented ones, but they are so much more expensive from there. So alas, I rarely get them

  6. I love this too; the way one shot echoes the other. 🙂

  7. Thanks for the fire. It’s officially summer here, but I’m wearing a skivvy and a jumper. Fire and flowers are nicely colour co-ordinated … and alliterative!

  8. I love to be warm in front of a fire… that type of warmth is special

  9. I absolutely loved these photographs!!!😁💖📸
