It is time for another of Paula’s Pick a Word themed challenges and it is the last one this year. As usual you get five words to choose from: sagacious, non-human, portrayal, remains, stellar. I am, as many of you might guess, choosing Remains…..
Acouple of images of Remains of the Past (and the second one was taken at Glendalough, during the remains of that day, as the shadows were getting longer):
And here goes for some organic Remains:
Linked to Thursday’s Special here
If you had not chosen ‘Remains’, I would surely have fallen off of this chair!
Nice work as always, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
Haha! Glad you liked these, Pete
Haha me too!
What it is to be known!! One day, I’ll confound the lot of you! 😉

He he he … you obliged in all my requests :). Villa Hadriana made my jaw dropped and I saw it in person – that’s how effective your angle is. Second remains are the most powerful interpretation – the last pic – well, I am not sorry for the loss of a fish, and I can still see enough rose to put me in a good mood – all in all – a fab post :D. THANK YOU!
Pleased you liked these, Paula! The villa Hadriana shot was more effective, I think, because of that, stormy sky……
True 🙂
Whereabouts is Villa Hadriana, Sue? It looks magnificent 🙂 🙂
Tivoli, Lazio, Italy
Thanks, Sue! Lovely shot. If I’m ever out that way… 🙂 🙂
Just a short hop from the A large! 😳😉😉
The curve of the colonnades in the first image drew me in. The composition works so well.
Thanks! I was pleased with that one
I should think so.
Thank you!
You are making me want to move across the pond, Sue. Love that cemetery photo especially.
Well, I’ve taken in Italy, Ireland and England!
Last two captions made me grin with their allusions. You’ve been clever and provided three different takes on the theme. You eat fish very neatly by the way – and is it bone-handled cutlery?
I was hoping someone might be amused by my captions! I think Paula was impressed with my takes on the theme. Oh, and not actually bone handled, but I think intended to give that illusion – they were my parents’ fish cutlery items
Yes.. those headstones is what I meant.
😊
