It must be Lichen Day. Jude’s just posted some too. The fern is perfectly placed for contrasting green
Oh, how funny!
A captivating detail of Mother Nature’s many creations. I love how the little fern clings on to the rock along with lichens.
It appealed to mee, Otto!
Beautiful compatible colouring in this attractive shot.
Thanks, Paula…colours and textures aplenty!
A lovely combination of colours and textures, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
Isn’t it? Thanks, Pete
Great colours and structure, Sue. Love it.
Thought you might!
Beautiful. “Life finds a way”.
Indeed!
Colour, texture, composition – all just the job in this photo, Sue. Even the fern has organised itself very nicely.
Thank you, Tish! Glad you like it
Love this! As Desley says “life finds a way.” It really is a very hopeful image.
Thanks, Su!
Reminds me of the walls around Ludlow, the dainty Maidenhair Spleenwort I believe, and I think I even have one or two growing in my courtyard! Ferns do well here 😀
Oh, excellent!
Terrific colours, Sue.
Aren’t the great, Sandra!
A lovely palette Sue!
Thanks, Gilly, I thought it was quite striking
Pretty one! I knew Jude would like it. 🙂 🙂
Aaah, the lichen lady!
Nice one
I just spotted that fern, and thought ‘photo’
Some things just invite your camera…
Absolutely!
