Silent Sunday: 29/10/2017

  1. Lovely and delicate, with a perfectly blurred background.
    Best wishes, Pet.

  2. I love astrantia and their papery flowers. They don’t like my garden soil though. I don’t blame them.

  3. so very pretty, sue –

  4. Like a vision of spring. 😍

  5. On the cusp of decay but still lovely signs of life.

  6. Such an ethereal capture Sue, the light is lovely on the beautiful buds

  7. Soft and beautiful. Love the term ‘gems of decay’ 🙂

  8. Lovely pastel tones, and soft surrounds. A beauty.

  9. Beautifully shot, Sue. Nice aperture.

  10. Decay. As beautiful as birth and beginnings. Comes to me with a tinge of northern Swedish “vemod”. German says “Wehmut”. Is there a word for this in English? Sadness? Yes, but there are more nuances to these emotions than that. Melancholy? A bit too depressive in my view. “Ve…” is a bit of “woe”, and “mod” is akin to “mood”. Is there such a word in English? Who better could I ask than “the arty scientist”?

  11. They’re still hanging in there. 🙂
