I have featured quite a few images with shadows recently, namely those from Glendalough in the beautiful late afternoon light. So time to dig some others out. So here are three very different images with shadows.
Firstly, shadows of a church tower in the late afternoon falling across vineyards in the hills somewhere in Alsace, years ago –
Next, the shadow of a lamp in strong midday sun –
and finally, the (seriously noisy, as I forgot to up the ISO in camera) view from a shadowy hallway into another room –
See more shadows here
Nice shadows indeed. The ‘noisy’ one looks like a 19th century photo, and has strong atmosphere.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete…I was trying to create a sense of the old, and plenty of atmosphere!
Thumbs up!
Thanks!!
I always have a spot for shadows of lamps – very appealing.
And I love the atmosphere of that last shot, Sue. The noise adds to the sense of mystery and an element of tension.
I was pleased that I salvaged something of that last image, Debs…..some atmosphere and a bitt of tension, for sure
Whenever I go to town I notice shadows like the one on your lamp. Nice collection to demonstrate shadows.
Thanks! Nicely varied, I think 😊
