Late September Afternoon Light, Glendalough

I love it when the right light comes my way! As I do like quoting “It’s all about the light” – utterly, completely. Imagine my delight when I arrived in photography heaven in Glendalough…wonderful old monastic ruins and late afternoon light that could have been especially ordered…the rich glow on the old stones, the long shadows stretching to meet me.

So here goes for an image taken from within one of the monastic structures:

More to come tomorrow.

  1. That worked so well. Looking forward to tomorrow’s…
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Oh yes, I can feel your joy 🙂

  3. Perfect light and shade.

  4. Indeed – the light is everything and you got it here

  5. Yum Sue! Didn’t you find the light in Scotland just generally breathtaking?!

  6. A lovely shot Sue. I was very taken by the clarity of the light this evening up on the hill. Every rock seemed so bright and clear.

  7. I love it when shots like this work.

Over to you...
