I love shots like this, Sue, of everyday life. Very nice.
Many thanks, Jane!
Excellent! 🙂
Thank you, Paul! 😊
🙂
A perfect ‘one’ indeed. I used to love those shops that had ledges you could sit on!
Best wishes, Pete.
Ledges to sit on are jolly handy! But not much in evidence these days, Pete!
Sadly, they are not.
Oh yes, a great “one” Sue
Mind you, I think he could do with a few more steps and fewer ledges!
Just a few! And ditch those pints!
What makes this shot for me is the guy’s pot belly. I always enjoy seeing someone who has a larger one than me! 🙂
😀😀
You mean M. Doyle’s not Gaelic, Sue? 😦
The font’s not Irish….
Oh, and you never replied to my email….
I know! Humble apologies 😦 I owe a couple of e’s at the minute and am struggling. I’ll get there. 🙂 Still love you!
I like it, Sue I wonder how long it takes children to learn to spell the name of their city? 🙂

Well, Graignuenamanagh is a bit of a mouthful!
To say or spell!
Quite!!
Interesting shot Sue!
A lucky shot!
The ‘perfect belly’ and ‘gold flake’ flanking the image – now that’s perfect.
A great bit of serendipity for an image!
I like photos like this, it draws you right in – that shop would too!
I aim to draw the viewer in, Gilly…sometimes it works better than others!
What a mouthful the name is. Must go ask Google for the pronunciation… Is one a series? Or a challenge? When were you in Ireland? As always you have captured a nice composition telling a story.
Hi Pauline! ‘One’ is a series of images with a single person in the frame, and as you can see, I am now up to 125 of them, after about three years. I was in Ireland a couple of weeks ago for a short visit.
So you just do “one” or is it some ones (ha ha…) challenge?
I dreamt up my ‘One’ series 2 or 3 years ago, Pauline…no challenge involved!
Makes for interesting photo opportunities
I started ‘One’ when I realised that I frequently took images with just one lone person in them!
Makes for a good composition…
Thank you 😊
