Here is another composition from yesterday, when the sun had swung round a bit, and now much of the wine box is bathed in more light. I’m really not sure which one I prefer! The main problem for me is the distracting reflection on the base of the camera bellows… Anyway, all in all it was an interesting exercise for a few sessions during the day, adjusting and readjusting.

Still Life with Agfa Isolette
I like the added glow of sunlight.
Yes, I think it worked!
nice tilt on the apples. Love the choice of objects in this set up.
Thanks, Phil!
I like it and as I’m too lazy (and busy) to go back to yesterday’s to compare, that will have to suffice. 🙂 Happy Wednesday, Sue.

😀😀😀
Love the lighting on this.
Thanks, Marcus!
I strong still life. And I think it’s fun to see how you use the same objects in various pictures and create quite different moods.
Thanks, Otto….I’m having a lot of fun with these!
This reminds me of a Swedish painter named Philip von Schantz who painted still-lives with apples and/or blue berries… They were extremely popular in the 80s
So I’m doing retro?!
In a good way
Thanks!
Love it – Definitely retro with Agfa and box of string 🙂 All photos are still life – the frozen moments as it were, so doing stills of still life adds another depth. Do you try out different camera settings Sue?
Only to the extent of playing with depth of field, Laura….the latest ones are all f9, but I did do a few with a shallow DOF (1.8 or 2.8) to create a different focus, a different mood. With varying success
I’m trying out the DOFs just to teach myself what to expect 😉
Very good, that’s the way we learn!
You do these so well Sue!
Many thanks, Adrian! I never thought I could do Still Life, but learning to see light has opened my eyes, so to speak!
Nice composition. I prefer the lighting of earlier shot, but both are rich with stories and imaginings.
The earlier shot has a richer feel to it….
