I like the timeless quality of these older shots, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete…..I had forgotten this one, but a bit of playing with Nik Efex and it transformed it
I love your “One” series, Sue!
Thank you, Anngela!
And the man in the background? You’d better count him as an animal companion! I wonder if you’d still see this now?
I think probably not, but I must ask a friend who still visits Kos
Lovely shot, Sue.

This one was just a tad underexposed, and it ‘livened up’ nicely in NikEfex!
It’s been really fun to see these images from a different time. Did you shoot with slides or negative film?
I used to shoot slides most of the time, and all these digitised images were from slides…Perutz in the earliest days, which degraded badly. I think the Greek ones were a mix of Agfa and Kodachrome 64
I remember Perutz. Both that brand and most of Agfa’s slides degraded too quickly. Of course, Kodachrome was in a class of its own, but now you pay pack for that, since it’s one of the most difficult films to scan. 🙂
Hmmm, I’m intrigued by your comment on a difficult film to scan…contrast?
Yes, contrast and also the fact that Kodachrome didn’t have any integral color couplers, but dyes were produced during processing. This was unique for Kodachrome. However, because it resulted in a different kind of emulsion compared to other films, today it’s not possible to scan a Kodachrome slide using automatic dust removal.
Before you replied, I looked it up and saw this…but in these cases I had Digital ICE on…oops!
You will see it right away, because the images become very fussy.
Well, I seem to have got away with it….
