One / 109

Before I go hunting for a suitable Oddball for Paula’s challenge, I am just going to post another ‘One’ from the Greek islands several decades ago:

I am enjoying this stroll through my long-forgotten past! By that, I don’t mean I had ever forgotten that I had these holidays, but the detail fades…..  Again, I have no idea where this particular image was taken, except that I think it was on the island of Kos. But maybe not….that’s the trouble with film, I can’t read the metadata!!

  1. A very nice ‘Greek fishing boats’ shot, Sue. Lovely weather, and an instantly recognisable location.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Somehow this is more than a photograph – a window on the past, and yet there is an immediacy too with the act of tying up.

  3. A lovely tranquil scene. I can imagine myself sitting at a little taverna on the beach watching those boats.

  4. It’s a lovely indulgence scrolling through the past. The other day I reread my journal about eight months in a marquee, pregnant, with two small children, while J was building the house and was astonished to realise that was my life. This photo must evoke a lot for you, even if not the exact place. The muted colours are also of the past. It’s boats, so I’ll have to show it to said J.

  5. Oh, I love this ONE, Sue! Tish sums it up so well. 🙂 🙂 Your archives must be mind boggling (and much better organised than mine)
