One / 104

Well, here she is! The One I was hunting for, from one of the Greek islands circa 1987…could have been Leros, Kos or Crete…lost in the mists of time…..

I hunted through a few slides from Greece, and luckily this was amongst the first. Then the hassle started as I had to set up my ancient computer to run the slide scanner…but it took quite a bit of swearing to get it to run, then the scanner wouldn’ ball…I nearly gave up….But I remembered this image, and being disappointed with it at the time because the woman seemed lost in the shade. But a bit of digital ‘pepping up’ and I think the image is OK.

So here we have another of my Women in Black….escaping the worst of the midday sun:

  1. Lovely! I can’t figure how they can cope with the heat wearing black …

  2. That’s almost certainly the same one I spotted in 1985! 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. So typical of Greece.

  4. Its a lovely capture, with the shade and light, just right 🙂

  5. Joe Fleetway

I am shocked at the swearing! 🙂

  6. I’m glad you found her. And I forgot to say the title of the previous post was a beauty!

  7. Did you notice she seems to flow left to right and down just like the shadows? Nice lines. The white rough textured wall sets her off perfectly

  8. I like your “one ” series very much!
