In the photographer’s studio?

Studio 1

I am supposed to be doing some housework today, but a friend donated me some dying flowers, so I just had to rush off a Still Life when I saw the sun come out…..

This was taken on my dining table in front of the window, and hastily ‘processed’ on my iPad:

  1. A nice collection of objects to set off the dying flowers, Sue. And I like those shadows on the left too.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Photography definitely a more fulfilling time than housework Sue! A very nice study!

  3. Wow, wonderful capture Sue – definitely more fun than housework!

  4. So sweet, and I think the flowers will be there at least another few days!

  5. Love the way you just throw a few objects together and create a piece of art.

  6. You made the right choice.

  7. Housework? Please explain. What does this word mean? Is it something specific to England?

I love your still lifes and this one is a particular beauty. My attempts always look too arranged. The side glimpses of the cup and the box are wonderful as is the foregrounded wallet-thingy, flower-draped, and the shadow. And is that an old film canister?

  8. Lovely still-life, and a much better use of your time and talents than housework. 🙂

  9. Absolutely only when visitors are coming. I hate the unexpected variety. 🙂 🙂 Missed this one, Sue. Very charming!
