Deep in the Forest / 11

Now we are inside the old wooden workshop (two images here) – a right old jumble, and this structure, whilst not in such a poor state as the peatery we saw earlier, was not looking too robust itself! And we had to watch where we stepped, as there was a lot of broken glass around….it wouldn’t have done to have fallen in this place!

It was brilliant for textures….

  1. Really great images, Sue … love the textures and the colours.

  2. Great images of dereliction and abandonment. Right up your street!
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • Sue

Someone recently commented that “I think you have a liking for places that have been left behind by history in one way or another”….. Which sums it up rather well!

  3. Love these! I’m trying to imagine the smells, and going for rust and creosote (though I suspect that’s a kind of olfactory censorship on my part).

  4. The compositions fascinate me…
And the colour you obtained are awesome!

  5. A new decrepitude – of cloth. Those old rags are wonderful.

    • Sue

Aren’t they just! A rag and the remains of a chamois leather, I would say! Well, it looks a bit like an old shammy leather I had once!

  6. Great shots, Sue!

  7. Looks like my son’s garage before my daughter blitzed it!! I should have taken photographs.

  8. I wonder what it will be like in another fifty years!
