Feeding my Heart and my Bones

A comment made by Ann Christine in one of her posts recently (about Kyrkö Mosse) rang a chord…..  and led to the title of this post.

As anyone who regularly visits my blog will know, I have long had a fascination with abandoned places, as long as I can remember, in fact. Deserted places speak to my soul, and I do indeed feel them in my heart and my bones.

Here is a collage of a few that have ‘spoken’ to me….

Well that’s my glimpse into the past for today. A couple of these places are no longer visible, and others are crumbling fast….

  1. sometimes it seems as though I can feel the emotions, memories, hopes, and dreams evaporate into forgetfulness as the building structure crumbles.

  2. Wow, I would love to explore them myself! Thanks for sharing!Marcus

  3. Beautiful.. I’ve been a few places, long abandoned, where I’ve felt quite overwhelmed by the mood of the place. I think buildings are repositories of so much human emotion it can’t help but seep out.

  4. fantastic shots – and you have definitely embedded your feelings into those images, Sue. Beautiful but sad. And it’s bedtime for me!

  5. You’ve done them proud.

  6. I could mutter on about chaos and the dark side but I won’t spoil a beautiful moment, Sue. 🙂 🙂

  7. Beautiful darkness in your images here.

Over to you...
