Deep in the Forest / 2

Here we are for another glimpse into that tenebrous forest. I think this image captures the atmosphere, with moss seeming to take over – here it’s creeping over onto the dashboard of this car:

Dark and very mossy…

I created the last image as monochrome, but it just didn’t look right for this one. I always shoot RAW, and was initially a tad disappointed with my images, but with a little post-processing wizardry I have some nice atmospheric images. What a place! Thank you for taking us there, Anne-Christine!

  1. That is certainly an unusual place, Sue. And full of very different photo opportunities too.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. I thought Swedish cars were meant to last better that that!
But it’s a great image – nature is winning the battle!

  3. Wish I had a car graveyard to shoot. Lovely stuff!

  4. Actually I’m surprised that the Swedes would dump things in a wood!

  5. A place made for you. Lovely image. There’s a car in the bush near J’s that’s been slowly decomposing for years. – I’ll have to do a 5 minutes with … on it. If I ever end up back home!

  6. Definitely conveys atmosphere, Sue. I can see a horror movie or a Jurassic Park sequel being shot here. 🙂

  7. OK. So why are all these cars dumped in the forest? Like Gilly I am most surprised. Great image though 🙂

  8. Great shot, Sue! We really had a great day!

  9. Is this the same car? An image with three frames So very cool!

  10. I’ve liked it, but I’m really not sure. Maybe it’s me with the miserable soul, Sue. 🙂 🙂
