Black & White Sunday: Headshot

More a portrait than a headshot, but here goes anyway!

This lady in Cuba offered me the seat she was in after she had seen me wobbling about trying to keep my balance in the heat…I declined, but asked if I might take her photograph (all carried out in gestures and my few words of Spanish!):

Portrait of Cuban woman

The kindness of strangers frequently has me humbled.

I find the Cubans to be very kind, friendly people….Glad you like this portrait, Paula. At the time, I was a bit worried about it because I had the wrong lens on, but she looks OK, luckily.

  5. A lovely face, and a lovely story. Black and white serves it well.

  6. isn’t she beautiful and a golden heart too!

  7. What a lovely face she has! You can see that she’s kind. Great portrait, Sue. 🙂 🙂

  8. When I had a cane before my back surgery, I was amazed at how kind people can be if they have a good heart. This lady’s face is as beautiful as her heart. Nicely captured.

  9. Indeed it was serendipity and you got not only her kindness, when offering her seat, but her beautiful smile.
