Many thanks, Janet…taken a decade ago in an abandoned manor house in Romania…admittedly it was being very slowly restored, but there was plenty of it in a state of decay! Oh, to have had a better camera with me, and to have taken more photographs!

  2. wonderful photo, Sue

  3. Put a passing servant girl in there, and you have a Dutch Master!
    Good work, Sue.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  4. Well, this is lovely, like a classic painting of a Dutch interior.

  5. Looks like an old painting….doesn’t it?
    Splendid image…

  6. I love the light, especially on a blowy cold morning at Melbourne station.

(You might be interested to know that the production of “Carmen” I saw last night was staged with a Havana flavour – I almost recognised some of your buildings and your colours.)

    Now here’s a shot that would look good in b & w! 😀 😀 😀 What a beauty. Love it!

Well yes, I did consider monochrome, Emilio….must try it soonish…. Glad you like it, it was the best image I got from this place…..

  8. Love the pattern of light down those stairs. I have an old door for you this morning. 🙂

  10. This has such a painterly quality, maybe a plus for the not-so-good camera! ( I may have said this before …) I particularly like the diamond of light on the floor from the window. Very nice Sue!

  11. Excellent and definitely painterly!

Glad you like this photo…but I do request people ask me before they reblog my material. Please respect this in future
