Sue, what a lovely shot!

Many thanks, Janet…taken a decade ago in an abandoned manor house in Romania…admittedly it was being very slowly restored, but there was plenty of it in a state of decay! Oh, to have had a better camera with me, and to have taken more photographs!
wonderful photo, Sue
Many thanks, Mitza, glad you like it! I was so lucky the sun came streaming through that window briefly!
Put a passing servant girl in there, and you have a Dutch Master!
Good work, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
Haha!
Well, this is lovely, like a classic painting of a Dutch interior.
Except it’s Romania!
Yes, I saw from your commentary, but it still looks Dutch 😀
😀😀
Looks like an old painting….doesn’t it?
Splendid image…
Thanks, Anna – glad you like it!
Love this one, Sue.
Thank you, Lynne!
Nice work!
Thanks, Fraggle! An old one revisited!
I love the light, especially on a blowy cold morning at Melbourne station.
(You might be interested to know that the production of “Carmen” I saw last night was staged with a Havana flavour – I almost recognised some of your buildings and your colours.)
Thanks, Meg, pleased you like this. And I am amused at the Carmen production bringing my Havana scenes to mind!
Now here’s a shot that would look good in b & w! 😀 😀 😀 What a beauty. Love it!
Well yes, I did consider monochrome, Emilio….must try it soonish…. Glad you like it, it was the best image I got from this place…..
Love the pattern of light down those stairs. I have an old door for you this morning. 🙂
I was very pleased with this image when I ‘tweaked’ it a bit yesterday – glad you like it, Jo! I seem to have missed your old door…. 😦
It was only in a small corner of the post but it has your name on the caption. 🙂
Which post, Jo??
6WS 🙂
Yes, I’ve just been over…the sort of door that Sue likes! Yay!
I had a couple more raggy than that but I’ll save them for a(nother) rainy day 🙂
I shall look forward to them! 🙂

This has such a painterly quality, maybe a plus for the not-so-good camera! ( I may have said this before …) I particularly like the diamond of light on the floor from the window. Very nice Sue!
Thanks, Anna! I was most pleased with it…
Excellent and definitely painterly!
Thank you! Glad you like it
Reblogged this on La Rioja and the world seen from my guardaviñas.
Glad you like this photo…but I do request people ask me before they reblog my material. Please respect this in future
