Earlier, Wordless Wednesday showed a view of a window from outside this place in the Azores….now we’re going up the steps to the front entrance and in, for a very brief look:

Hotel Forlorn 1

Hotel Forlorn 2

Hotel Forlorn 3
Looks like there’s lots of icky green mould growing here, so that’s enough.
Dereliction and decay indeed, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
Quite…
Way too forlorn to be beautiful 🙂
Well, perhaps!
The Hotel California may be a palace compared to this…except for that never leaving bit. 🙂
janet
Oh, I had Hotel California running through my head….
And now “Hotel California” is rolling around in my head. Ha. These photos are eerie.
Ah! I mentioned to Janet (Sustainabilitea) that I had that song running through my head….,.
😛
This is certain;y my kind of hotel!
Ah, I wondered if you might comment on this, Robert!
Not for me, Sue. I’d so much rather look at the stunning countryside. 🙂 🙂 Celebrating our differences!
Oh, I enjoyed the countryside as well, Jo- those lakes were marvellous
You are one brave woman. Did you go in there by yourself?
Yes, but only for 5 -10 minutes, and there were one or two other people around. There was light from various windows and openings, but you’re right…brave or foolhardy?
Brave and adventurous. 😀
I’ve always, always wanted to know what’s around the corner in derelict places….
Me too. Is there something wrong with us?
No, we’re just adventurous, curious types!! We make our own adventures, instead of watching other people’s in films etc…..
If the rooms and hallways could talk i imagine they would tell a very different story than the moldy walls do today.
Oh, absolutely! There’s a story there somewhere, or a novel, perhaps!!
I think I stayed here once. Of course, I’ve never been to the Azores so probably not. Walk around all you like. But don’t touch anything!
Well, I wasn’t there long…and I wouldn’t have wanted a dose of that icky mould…..
