Six Word Saturday: Looks like an interesting old contraption

Linked to Six Word Saturday

  1. Definitely looks interesting. It reminds me of the machine I used to battle with to turn a bale of hay into chaff

  2. it does, Sue! You never know what’s going to turn up on 6WS 🙂 🙂 Actually I’ve seen similar in Algarve museums. How are you doing? Any better…?

  3. Interesting indeed. Spud sorting implement came to mind, but I’ve no idea what it is except it was the sort of thing one came across on the Cheshire farm outbuildings when I was a child.

  4. Cool photo. If I’m not mistaken, it’s one of the earliest computers. Of course I COULD be mistaken, but….

  5. At first I thought it might be some sort of laundry-aid, but that wouldn’t be too likely to be in the stables!

  6. This picture recalls the bucolic atmosphere os some old photos taken in the countryside , long ago……
    Love this!

  7. I was imagining some form of torture device. How the mind works…
    Best wishes, Pete.

  8. I have no idea, but it reminds me of some of the old farm equipment my parents have from my grandparents’ farm. Make a great B&W shot, whatever it is. Hoping you get past “bearing up” ASAP!

  9. I too thought laundry aid. And Elaine might be surprised to know that I once had to use an old-fashioned tub, complete with mangle which was located in an outbuilding! Whatever its purpose it is a great photo.

  10. Not sure what it is, but it’s perfect in monochrome. I love old stuff. Nicely photographed, Sue.

  11. I love weirdy stuff like that too!

This was a horribly underexposed image I took some years ago, but because I shoot RAW, I was able to rescue it to an acceptable point, I thought! Glad you like, Gilly

  12. No matter what it is, I bet it has claimed a few fingers in its time!

  13. My kind of place, love old abandoned places.
