One / 74 and One / 75

I love the colours in this…..

It put me in mind of this image seen in 2014, that I never posted at the time – again I got some colours to link in, and it is indeed the same artist, Dale Grimshaw. His figures seem to have yellow faces and disturbing eyes, and sport a necklace:

  1. They are marvellous images. Australian Aborigines is my guess.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    Love the colors!

It’s those eyes. You can’t look away! Beautiful work.

  4. The colours and the look on the faces are impressive.

  5. You’ve got spring fever!! My bet is definitely not Australian Aborigines, although it’s a bit hard to tell under the makeup. So many things to catch the eye, especially in the first one.

  6. Truly love the first one, Sue. 🙂 The second I find a little disturbing.

  7. The colors are beautiful, indeed! And great images, Sue!

  8. Fabulous street art. I sense anger when I view these haunting images.

  9. Fascinating street art, wonderfully captured!

  10. Powerful images and colours – suggestive of Papua New Guinea ??

  11. They make me think of the extraordinary peoples of the South American forests whose lives and livelihoods have been destroyed by large-scale soya and beef farming – something precious that has been lost; a world from which we might have learned something perhaps. Thanks for posting them, Sue.

  12. Where did you find them? I can see a lot of debate about the origins. My first guess was Australian Aborigines, but now I know I was wrong. Beautiful art!

  13. fantastic graffiti, sue

  14. I recognize those faces: Papua New Guinea. Perhaps this is why they are a little haunting. PNG has a way if doing that.
