Thursday’s Special: Juxtaposition (Clean & Fresh against Dull & Tired)

Well, here’s my juxtaposition of Clean and Fresh against Dull and Tired….not sure it entirely works, but let me know what you think!

Hop over to Paula’s for more Juxtaposition here.

  1. I think it works. Juxtaposition is one of my favorite words. 🙂

  2. I can see where you are coming from with this one, Sue. Those undies do look very white and fresh!
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. Are you kidding? I would have been deeply disappointed if you hadn’t published something in the process of dilapidation. The dwellings are in despair, but we must go on living as if everything is new and normal, fresh and clean clothes are our prerogatives 🙂 The smell of freshly washed clothes against rotting facade and possible the smell of humidity coming from cellars – what a juxtaposition!

  4. Nice! Lovely juxtaposition of colours too 🙂

  5. oh yes, a lovely juxtaposition.
    Classic Havana!
You really made the most of your time there, Sue

  6. Only 5 hours! Wow, you did well. I would never have guessed.
A book would be great – your old and new shots

I haven’t shown that many images yet, Debs! Hiring the taxi and guide from Nosotros Cubaneamos was the best thing I did, allowing me to achieve my aims in the short space of time I had….as I can’t walk far at all these daŷs

  7. Sue I like this image…the colors, sharpness, composition…they come together to create an interesting perspective.

  8. I really like this. Like Janet, I love juxtaposition — as a word and in photography.

  9. Works well to me! Lovely pastel shades contrast with the brights too!

  10. What???? Dull and tired?? The Sue I know has been abducted by aliens and replaced by someone with a different world view. Who nevertheless juxtaposes nicely.

Dull and tired might still get my pulse racing, Meg….but see it for what it is, recognising that not everyone will get that frisson…😀😀

  11. loving the puffy shapes.

  12. Can’t beat a clean pair of drawers, Sue 🙂 🙂

That definitely works. I like the contrast between the billowing soft sheets and the rugged old wall.

  15. Sue, what a fantastic image …. I have laundry fetish, I think. *smile – never see over here anymore. Perfect image for the topic.

  16. I like your way of thinking Sue!
