Seen better days…

Gavin over at Sedge808 posted a Dead Chair earlier, which reminded me of this little beauty(!), that I forgot to post before:

  1. Defunct indeed, Sue. But it does have a certain charm, nonetheless.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Poor old thing! It really looks on its last legs. πŸ˜…

Oh, past that I would say! Espied this from my friend’s roof terrace in Spain….an interesting vantage point for noticing next door’s junk!!

  3. The bottom dropped out of one’s world sort of thing? Love all the ochre tones

  4. Perfect!
I’d make a poster from this?

  5. No question mark , obviously!
    Sorry

  6. I like it as well and it reminds me of a chair I spotted near the beach once. πŸ™‚ The latter had a better view, though.

    I love it! πŸ™‚

  8. Gosh you title made me jump Sue. So glad you were talking about a chair and not yourself. Definitely this one has seen better days.

  9. that’s beauty in decay, Sue

  10. Oh what a shame! I’ve always wanted to fix a chair but this one is way beyond any skills I might have.

  11. When I see objects like that I can’t help thinking of the craftsman who made it.
Perhaps he became also a decrepit old man abandoned to his own fate.

  12. Nigel, the cabinetmaker in “Let’s face it”would give this battered chair new life, hope and beauty. Lovely tonal work, Sue. Have a great weekend.

  13. πŸ˜€ defunct it is. I was expecting to see a “shadow” post here πŸ™‚

  14. Definitely more shabby than chic!

  15. Oh what a fabulous find…
    I like your dead chair.

  16. Reblogged this on Noir and commented:

  17. A “dead” chair – love that!! Wonderful capture

  18. Ripe for renovation! Mick watches an antique dealer, Drew somebody or other, whose craftsmen do a grand job of restoring furniture. There’s hope… πŸ™‚ Off to see the dead one!

  19. Emilio Pasquale

The last person to use this chair was probably a bit too overweight!
