That garden has provided you with some great inspiration indeed, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
It certainly has….p
Frost is magical.

Isn’t it! As long as you aren’t out in the cold too long!
Beautiful
Thank you! Glad you like these
Lovely Sue – especially those leaves
I’ve been wanting to get some good frosty shots, but it’s never frosty on the mornings I I decide to go out!!
Well, I struck lucky! I was off to see a friend near where I used to live, and decided to go to this garden which was one of my old haunts…when I woke to a thick frost on the car, I thought yippee, (other than having to scrape the car before I could set off)!!
All great shots but, for me, the tighter shots show the frost better. Love them!
Thanks, Emilio – my first photographic foray for a short while, and this little place always inspires! More to come….
Gosh that really IS frosty. I like the garden in January, it looks as though it is sleeping and the statuary comes into its own.
Yes, that’s it, a sleeping garden, and the statuary is the star! Except, for me, it’s finding skeletal leaves and other decaying vegetation!!
A lovely collection of images from a frosty wander. My favourite’s the leaves outlined in frost, and the last one is exquisite. It’s good to have the beautiful context too.
Skeletal leaves do it for me!!
Yes i love the fragile lacy leaves, what a lovely place and you have good timing!
Apropos lacy leaves, I half wished I had the macro rings with me, but given that it was so perishing cold, I realised I wouldn’t have fiddled about setting them up!
What an enchanting wander! Those frost edged leaves are so beautiful.
Aren’t they lovely!
Beautifully captured, Sue! It must cold to be out there and take photos.
Stay warm…
Thank you, Amy…I didn’t stay too long in the cold!
Beautiful pics! I love this clear and cold light of winter 🙂
So do I!
Very nice frost images.
Thank you!
That last shot is so you, only frozen 🙂 Beautiful in its cold decay.
Glad you like it, Paula!
As we are just leaving winter (crossing my fingers) I found this to be an awesome fitting. 🙂
