I was just about to cross the road, after photographing part of this decaying building in Málaga, when I noticed this man’s clothing. The splash of yellow chimed so perfectly with the background, I had to have the shot!

I could have cropped it right down, but the legend on the billboard adds to the scene.

  1. What wonderful colours and decay on the wall, and you must’ve felt blessed when the man walked by, so beautifully coordinated.

  2. I love everything about this image, Sue! The colors, the “decisive moment” with the man walking in front of the yellow wall carrying that backpack with a pop of yellow, the overall mood, etc. etc… Chapeau!

  3. Perfect, in every detail! I wish “I”had takes this shot!

  4. That’s a good shot, Sue

  5. It would’ve also worked if you had cropped it, but with a very different feel.

  6. Wow – you certainly have an eye for a good photo. What wonderful light.

  7. Amy

A very cool shot, Sue. 🙂

  8. I like the billboard, but I don’t like that perfect building on the back right. I’d be tempted to crop that, and the man, out of the picture and just have the decaying wall contrasting with the advert for new housing! But then it wouldn’t fit your ONE theme 🙂

  9. Fabulous shot and color

  10. These things appear by magic for you, and you were just in the nick of time for this one!

  11. Emilio Pasquale

    Love that wall. What stories!

  12. Another classic shot from the uncrowned queen of decay!
    Best wishes, Pete.
