Less is not enough.
Loved this, reminded me a little of symbolist and surrealist works, and I was expecting to be drawn into some kind of noir narrative. Outstanding, Sue.
Sorry to disappoint you regarding the Noir narrative – not my forté
I absolutely love this one, Sue. The lighting, composition, and graphic nature of the image take this to another level. No mean feat for night photography.

Thank you Allan for your effusive comment – much appreciated!
A gorgeous shot Sue
Thanks Debbi – best in monochrome….
Love it!
Thanks, Lena!
Most atmospheric 😀
Thank you, Polly!
Very atmospheric, Sue. Like a scene from ‘The Third Man.’
Best wishes, Pete.
Yes, the Third Man or an Edward G Robinson Hollywood Noir! I was pleased with this
Just what I was thinking, Pete! I could hear the theme tune playing in the background. 🙂
Well, I was going for the Film Noir look, Jo! Love that Anton Karas music, by the way!
A wonderful shot, Sue. 🙂
I was pleased with this one, Sylvia!
Looks like most of the well-deserved superlatives have been used, Sue. I’ll just agree.
janet
Thanks, Janet!!
This would make such a wonderful poetry or flash fiction prompt. I agree–tres noir.
It would be a good fiction prompt, I reckon…..but I’m not writing!!
That message? I think I got it. No more nagging. I may ask you if I may use it if a flash fiction story hits me.
Oh, please nag, one day it might stir me into action! And yes, just let me know if you want to use the image for flash fiction!
It looks like a still from a crime film!
Yes, I was aiming for Noir!
Perfectly positioned figure, Sue.
Pure luck, Andy
And a good eye for an opportunity, Sue.
Yes, I have that!
Great image Sue – the figure could be an Antony Gormley statue.
Haha!
When were your there? This framing is perfect!
Thanks, Paula! I was there one late evening in May
And in this one it has autumnal look 🙂
Yet it had been a scorching hot late Spring day….
Is that my Warsaw? A wonderful shot, with a perfectly placed figure. I love it.
I knew you would love it, Meg!!
It’s all been said! 🙂 🙂
😀😀
BUT… I sometimes smart Alek myself into forgetting what I was going to say! Did you convert from colour? It works so beautifully in B & W. 🙂
These days I always convert from colour, with a little help from Nik software…. Years ago I used to use B&W film, but no longer!
