Great image…a telling that summer is about to move into August
Indeed! Just spotted this today, must look for more decay!
🙂 Yes!
😀😀
I love this, and the way if foregrounds the aging and”imperfect.”
Thank you, Su!
Poor old droopy daisy! The others around it still look perky though.
Wednesday already? How these weeks fly by…
Best wishes, Pete.
Oh, at a guess there are 30+ that are perky, half a dozen that are giving up the ghost……and yes, the days are speeding past, aargh
Oh, no, back to decaying flowers… I’m not at all ready for this.
Tee hee, I’ll do a small collage of lively ones for you, Jude!
So metaphoric.
For what, Victoria? Life in general?
Yes. Transience of beauty. Aging. The beauty even of decline.
Yes, I do agree, wholeheartedly!
I have days like this. 🙂 Hard to believe it’s almost August already. The park is still full of flowers, but they’ll be going bit by bit, just like the light.

Oh, I have days like this, too…especially in the heat!
Fair enough, it’s getting late for daisies!
These must be an alien species!
It was 99°F here yesterday, so I looked a bit like this wilted flower…
Oh dear!
One more day of it, then it will get cooler…
Just as well!
The shot is fabulous…….
As for its meaning , it could represent life of course…!
Congrats for your 100th post!
wonderful photo
Thank you, Mitza!
Poor soul! Did you forget to water that one, Sue? 🙂 🙂 I love the blurriness.
Not mine to water, Jo!
Fine excuse 🙂
Ooooh, no need for that!! 😊
This is distinctively your style, to pursue a previous discussion: subject matter, sparse background, functional blur, and clever composition – all you.
Thank you, Meg…a nicely articulated description of the elements of a ‘Sue photo’!!
Beautifully photographed, Sue. I should fly you over to keep tabs on my rose and lily bouquet as it decays in a few days. 🙂
Oh, wouldn’t that be something!😉
Yes it would, but you’d have to sleep in a bedroom stacked to the ceiling with furniture and boxes. 🙂
Hoho, health and safety alert 😀😀
😆
Beautiful composition, Sue! Love the DOF!
Oh, I’m becoming a DOF junkie! I do like to isolate my subject – glad you liked this one, Amy
Decaying, but unwilling to go, still upright 🙂
Indeed!
