Delighting in Our World
Quirky thoughts on the ultimate question of life, the universe and popcorn.

Ultimate decay. What an absorbing composition, Sue. Especially like the shadowy foreground, and looking out into sunlight that’s brighter if not happier.
A corner of the Jewish cemetery in Warsaw…I found it a peaceful, restful place, Tish
It looks peaceful, and suitably silent too. The different angles of the slipping headstones make it very appealing as an image.
Best wishes, Pete.
Actually, it was silent other than for birdsong, which was delightful
[Grin…]
Very three dimensional!
It’s worked well!
Our younger daughter and I enjoy visiting cemeteries. They are, as you say, very often quite peaceful and give birth to much conjecturing.
janet
They certainly do…
Yes, I guess it would be silent there, except for maybe a bit of birdsong. Great image, Sue.
Thanks! I think this might be mÅ· best image from this place….
It’s such a strong image of a fairly scattered place. You’ve merged darkness and light beautifully.
I had challenged myself to create some atmospheric images using shadows and light, and I think this one has worked reasonably well
Anything I achieve is pure accident. I bow to you.
How about 5 pm your time tomorrow / 6 pm mine?
Oh, Meg, you do make me smile! Oh, and tomorrow 5pm my time, 6pm yours sounds good!
a wonderful, enchanted place, looks like an old jewish cemetery
It is!
Sun shining on the righteous? 🙂 🙂
Oh, someone had to come up with that line!! A while since I’ve heard it….
Not seen many righteous folks lately then, Sue? 🙂 I hate to disappoint.
🙄
The light and leaning jumble make this look like a very welcoming place.
It is!
Beautiful imagery.
Thank you , Stuart!
Peaceful
It was…
This is the second Jewish cemetery I stumbled upon today, and I have only been on three blogs so far. This light is soft and beautiful, Sue, though they rest in darkness.
How amazing that this is not the only one Å·ou have seen today! As for this photo, the light was marvellous that day, Paula
