Indoors

This week, Ailsa has chosen ‘Indoors’ for her travel theme. I couldn’t decide what to post, then I thought of a couple of images I had taken indoors on a cruise ship. In the restaurant at lunchtime, the waiters were scurrying about, and I wanted to demonstrate this in my images.

  1. So much dash – in both senses, Sue.

  2. You done good! The slow shutter speed works well in emphasizing the waiter’s movements while the diners wait patiently.

  3. Lovely blur on those waiters, Sue. Very accomplished indeed.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  4. I’m waiting for someone to fill my wine glass…

  5. Great foreground/background.

  6. I can’t quite imagine you on a cruise ship Sue!

Teehee! I always said I would never do it, but this year I did, and enjoyed the no need for constant unpacking/repacking, and heard some great talks, saw some interesting sights, met some lovely people. But it is really too expensive….

  7. I like the motion and lack of in the photo, well captured.

I love the blurred rush of the waiters and the contrast with the static poses of the diners.

  9. The scurrying effect worked perfectly, Sue. I had to sit down and rest. 😉

  10. Superb images which really convey the waiter’s bustle against the diners’ relaxed demeanour. 🙂

  11. Cheers! 🙂 Reminds me of Mick’s birthday evening in Tavira. The fastest waiters I ever saw. But I stopped them in their tracks by keeling over with heatstroke. Love a bit of drama 🙂 🙂

  12. I do love the movement and stillness contrasting.

  13. The motion blur makes these pictures Sue! Perfect choice for the challenge.
