Wordless Wednesday: Vignette on the Canal

  1. An interesting image Sue!

  2. Love this horizontal layering – a compositional approach for me to pursue.

  3. I like the symmetry top and bottom with the centre area just adding contrast. Nice one Sue

  4. Works very well, Sue. The muted colours suit the shot perfectly.
When I lived close to the canal in Regents Park and Maida Vale, I was going through a ‘non-photographic’ period, so I missed many chances with the varied and colouful canal boats in London.
I might have to go back one day.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  5. Really beautiful cameos, Sue.

  6. I think there is a story in this picture.. there is something to tell of both the absence of people and the way they are still present in those potted flowers.

  7. I like that!- implied presence. Great image sue- I had to really study it to see all there was. those glimpses are brilliant- e.g. the candlesticks!

  8. It a strong photo built on geometric patterns and shapes. Almost a monochromatic image with the exception of the potted plants.

  9. Intriguing Sue and very clever as always.

  10. All of life! Just needs somebody washing up at the sink 🙂 (I’ll go- I still fancy Copenhagen)
