I debated a black and white or colour version of this….in the end the monochrome won. A fast-reaction image, no time to set up position, angle etc, but it has worked as I hoped. A ‘decisive moment’, caught just in time as she soon disappeared at a fast clip around a cluttered corner. I love the old building, a perfect backdrop!

  9. Excellent grab Sue – sometimes you have little time to react but it works out as if you’d spent days planning the shot! This was one of those times.

  19. I love this shot- everything about it- the B&W, the person with bicycle, the house- all of it!

  20. I love the backdrop too!! wonderful image!

  21. Coming from a ‘new’ city I was so fascinated by all the oldness of the buildings in Denmark, and also the brightness of all the oranges, yellows and red that I never once thought to turn any of my shots to black and white. But it works so perfectly here – and creates a wonderful mood. Perfect shot…
