The unusual vent makes it not so mundane, Sue. At least to my eyes.
Best wishes, Pete.
Well, truth be told, I do agree!
The variations of mailboxes are so interesting. Practical items can have good design. This one note so bland upon a closer look. Nice discovery
Thanks, Phil!
It’s a mailboxe but it look like a safety-deposit box 🙂
Yes, it does a bit! A lot of letterboxes have locks…
Rather nicely mundane in fact Sue x
Hmm, can nice and mundane appear together!
Apparently so x
😀😀
Looks like they expect a lot of small envelopes!
Good point, Gilly! 😳
Humble? Mundane? No I think not. Actually I wouldn’t mind this, we do appear to be missing a letterbox. Most inconvenient.
Goodness, Jude, where ever does your post end op going? 😳
Currently in a plastic toolbox complete with concrete block to stop it from being blown away. It is the little things you don’t actually notice when you buy a house…
How very curious, no letterbox in the front door….perhaps they had an external box and took it with them!
I think THIS is the letterbox! But it wasn’t around when we viewed the property.
How very odd!!
Looks very secure. What do you think that round vent is for?
Not a clue!
Maybe it’s to talk through. 😕
No, it was very low down, and that vent was small, probably ventilation?
I’m sorry but I think you’ve failed miserably in posting this under Mundane Monday. Love the design of the box, the colors, everything about it. This is not mundane at all. Shame on you!
Well, clearly my idea of mundane isn’t yours!! 😉😀😀
Clearly! You just happen to live in a more, um…, unmundane place than me. Our letterboxes are more mundane than yours! 😉
Teehee…most of ours are….Amen
Nice find!
Thanks, Inese!
Lovely rich colour and nice design too.
Yes, a bit different to the average letter box!
love it
Thanks, Gavin!
Quite an arrogant looking box if you ask me 🙂 proudly boasting No. 4. and throwing in a graphic of an envelope in case the postman does not know what a mail box is LOL …
But I guess this is typical London.
My letter box is a chink in the wall with a box on the inside !!
Well, most letterboxes I see are just slits in someone’s front door, as is mine…and this is one of the only unusual ones I have seen!
Thanks for posting it 🙂
Ta!
It may be humble, but it is full of character. Great find!
Glad you think so, Paula!
Really intriguing. Who could be the owner, what would be inside, is someone sending letter and so many other questions. Nice find.
Glad you like it!
