Six Word Saturday – Sit back and imagine the fragrance

two images of Freesias – a photograph doesn’t do these justice, the colour is all very good, but you need to smell the scent….

  1. Love the way that the yellow one matches the one on the sampler, Sue!
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. beautiful…simply beautiful…

But what is so annoying these days, is that Freesias with no scent are frequently on sale….these, I’m glad to say smelt as they should!

  4. They do look beautiful.

  5. I love the photos (and great idea with the towel), but alas, virtual smells just aren’t the same. 🙂 I agree that it’s always a joy to find flowers these days that have a scent. So many don’t.

  6. Truly love the first one Sue! It’s reminiscent of an old renaissance oil painting 🙂

  7. I really love your first picture Sue! Absolutely beautiful! 🙂

  8. This is so wonderful.. the smells does alas not come through the wires… there is a still life quality in the first.

  9. Gorgeous Sue and it’s okay, the image conjures the fragrance.

  10. I love freesias Sue xx

  11. I can detect their heady scent. They make me think of my mother who had a row of them growing under her roses. They were perfect garden bed mates, the freesias were finished before the roses bloomed

  12. First one is gorgeous and I could do with the fragrance after a day cleaning Velux windows covered in straw and goodness knows what else (I have stopped thinking about it).

  13. Oh these are gorgeous Sue! Sniffff 😃
Love the dark background with the colour. Stunning!
..and the embroidered bg is really lovely too!

  14. One of my favourite flowers, and you’ve captured them beautifully here. 🙂

  15. I can almost smell them the way they are reaching out of the photo towards me. Beautiful composition Sue.

  16. Really lovely images, Sue. I remember as a teenager, getting Freesia perfume for Christmas. It was my first ‘bottle of scent’ and I loved the smell of it. 🙂

  17. Oh, aren’t they gorgeous…I used to love freesias, but seldom see them nowadays. What lovely flowers and memories!

  18. Amy

Love these spring colors, Sue! I can almost smell the fragrance through your beautiful photos. 🙂

  19. So beautiful dear Sue, I loved them all, so artistic. Thank you, Love, nia

  20. Freesias are one of the prettiest of flowers and your photo demonstrates that perfectly.
