Love the way that the yellow one matches the one on the sampler, Sue!
Best wishes, Pete.
Tee hee….it’s an embroidered towel, and I just happened to think it might make an image with one of the blooms….
beautiful…simply beautiful…
Thank you, Brenda!
Pretty!! Love the smell of Freesia!
But what is so annoying these days, is that Freesias with no scent are frequently on sale….these, I’m glad to say smelt as they should!
They do look beautiful.
Thanks, Mlissabeth!
Beautiful Sue. 😀
Thank you, Cee!
I love the photos (and great idea with the towel), but alas, virtual smells just aren’t the same. 🙂 I agree that it’s always a joy to find flowers these days that have a scent. So many don’t.

Virtual scent is down to imagination alone!
I know, but real is so much nicer.
Precisely!
Fabulous!
Thanks! 😀
Truly love the first one Sue! It’s reminiscent of an old renaissance oil painting 🙂
Yes, it’s worked quite well – taken at a friend’s house, natural (rather dark) light, and against a dark fireplace…. A bit Caravaggio?
I really like the dark background 🙂 It’s a bit Titian I thought with the richness of the colours but yes, I can see the Caravaggio! Verging into the baroque with the shaping 🙂
Well, I do try!! 😀
😀
I really love your first picture Sue! Absolutely beautiful! 🙂
Thanks, Adrian!
Beautiful.
Thanks! Glad you liked 😀
This is so wonderful.. the smells does alas not come through the wires… there is a still life quality in the first.
Thank you, Björn….living flowers this time!
Gorgeous Sue and it’s okay, the image conjures the fragrance.
Glad you think so, Gilly!
I love freesias Sue xx
That makes two of us, then!
I can detect their heady scent. They make me think of my mother who had a row of them growing under her roses. They were perfect garden bed mates, the freesias were finished before the roses bloomed
Glad it brought back good memories!
First one is gorgeous and I could do with the fragrance after a day cleaning Velux windows covered in straw and goodness knows what else (I have stopped thinking about it).
I am struggling to picture Velux Windows covered in straw…..why? Presumably you don’t know the answer, either 😳😳
Er… cows living in barn about 3 feet away…
Urgh….
Mmm… I guess we’ll get used to it 🙂
Looks like you will have to!
Oh these are gorgeous Sue! Sniffff 😃
Love the dark background with the colour. Stunning!
..and the embroidered bg is really lovely too!
Thank you, Robyn! 😀😀
😃😃
One of my favourite flowers, and you’ve captured them beautifully here. 🙂
Thank you, Su…they have long been one of my favourite flowers
I can almost smell them the way they are reaching out of the photo towards me. Beautiful composition Sue.
Glad you like this, Pauline!
Really lovely images, Sue. I remember as a teenager, getting Freesia perfume for Christmas. It was my first ‘bottle of scent’ and I loved the smell of it. 🙂
Memories, eh?
Oh, aren’t they gorgeous…I used to love freesias, but seldom see them nowadays. What lovely flowers and memories!
I love freesias, but get very annoyed by the scent less varieties…
So there are scentless ones? But the scent is just wonderful! Is it because of hospitals – that you are not allowed to bring flowers with scent?
I don’t have a clue – but to me, the whole point of a freesia is its scent!
Agree 99%
Hoho…only 99%😀😀
;-D
Love these spring colors, Sue! I can almost smell the fragrance through your beautiful photos. 🙂
Thank you, Amy – glad you like!
So beautiful dear Sue, I loved them all, so artistic. Thank you, Love, nia
Glad you like them, Nia! 😀
Freesias are one of the prettiest of flowers and your photo demonstrates that perfectly.
Thanks, Andy!
