This is very beautiful and indeed delicate!
Thank you, Lena! Tiny (two petals together the size of my thumbnail) and fragile….
Very close to dust.
Indeed!
hand(mouth) made lace. how nice.
Mouth?
A delicate butterfly (”motyl” in Polish – not significant: just showing that I’m building vocabulary) of a leaf. I love the lacework of veins.
The delicate veined lacework is what always appeals in yesterday’s petals (and leaves)
Oh, and a motel it is, indeed!
I had to fight predictive to be allowed to show off a simple Polish word – no szcz.. in sight. J found a 9-letter word yesterday with only one vowel.
I’m impressed!
Ooops, predictive text – I did, of course, mean motyl
My thoughts exactly! And I know the word because I have a lovely cousin called Irena with that surname. 🙂 Sue- are you practising your Polish yet? 🙂
All I know is the most useful na zdrowie, as taught to me by a Polish colleague many years ago…she knew I loved a good glass of wine
Good start! It will get you far 🙂
😀😀
tenuous and with fragility, it yet holds itself together….
What a Stunning Photo that made me Feel!! very evocative Sue, loved it 🙂
Glad you like it, Debi! Thanks for the enthusiastic comment! This is one of my first attempts at a macro, and I’m pleased with the result….
🙂 indeed
The perfect shot and so stunning Sue! Also my favourite! 😀 ♥
Thank you, Sonel! Another favourite, then? 😀😀
Of course. 😀 ♥
You have captured the theme perfectly, Sue. Those veins look so fragile, yet provide support too.
Best wishes, Pete.
They were rather lovely!
Another delicate beauty, Sue. Have to get mine posted soon.
janet
Thanks, Janet! Glad you like – another one tomorrow!
Lovely lace-like skeleton. Looks good in b&w too. I shall have those daffs up for you tomorrow 🙂
Thanks Jude….looking forward to the daffs!
Oops- I’m obviously missing some daffs! Soon, Jude! 🙂
Oh, and why isn’t this linked to my macro challenge? It is obviously in someone’s garden 😀
Ah, I’m doing yours tomorrow – some nice macros!!
wonderful photo, Sue
Thank you, Mitza 😀
too gorgeous for words
Glad you like, Laura! Another one tomorrow….
Such an exquisite example of decay, Sue. Love it. 🙂
Thanks, Sylvia – more tomorrow!!p
👍
You knew I would adore this, didn’t you? I only turned on my laptop now, I was busy earlier. This is perfect for the theme, and I remember seeing a bloom like this before on this blog, which can’t be more perfect, Sue. Thank you 🙂
I hoped you would like it!! I previously posted a similar petal, but that wasn’t a macro….
True, this is even better 🙂
And there should be another one for Jude’s Garden Challenge tomorrow….
very beautiful.
Many thanks, Gavin 😀
Dainty and delicate and it does remind me of a butterfly too.
Yes, I can see the likeness 😀
You do lacy so well, Sue! I remember that other delicate shot with affection too. 🙂
Thank you, Jo! Now, can you tell me a few useful Polish words?
Dobranoc! (good night) Przeprasam (excuse me) Jak sie masz? (how are you- but I can’t be bothered to use the Polish keyboard for the e) Czesc! (hello!- same thing about the accent on the last c. Consult Meg 🙂
Ta!
That’s lovely!
Thank you, and you might like the post from yesterday, too!
Delicate image.
