This week, Paula has us looking at Convergence…and one of her suggestions was looking at creating images with the camera’s double exposure feature.
Well, as it happens I played with this for the first time a few weeks ago when I was in France, so here’s one I made earlier! It takes a bit of experimentation to get something that works. Oh, and this one looks more eye-catching in colour, but for the sake of the challenge….

Well, I only tried it a few weeks ago! It takes a bit of experimenting, to say the least! More miss than hit, I would say, but occasionally you get one that works. Must try again sometime,….

Well, I had never tried it with my previous camera (which may well have had the facility), and it was only when I saw a friend trying it out when we were in France that I decided to have a go! What camera do you use?
What an interesting challenge! I too find multiple exposures in camera quite challenging but you’ve done it very well Sue!!

I can’t even begin to understand the technicalities! But a fascinating shot.
Many cameras have this feature, you just select double exposure or whatever in the camera menu. That’s the easy bit…then you have to play around with trying different types of image for the background and for the main subject – most of mine ended up in the trash. But occasionally something works!! Patience is a virtue!!

Madhu, you do surprise me! It’s an in- camera feature (eg Nikon, Olympus and many others have it on DSLRs or mirrorless) where you can take two frames, one superimposed on the other….I seem to recall you have a D300?
