Seven Day Nature Photo: Day Six – Nature Taking Over

I have been nominated by my friend Gilly, the very lucid Gypsy, to take part in a challenge of a photo per day for seven days, of anything from the natural world.

On day six in this little series, I have reached mid to late afternoon. The image shown here is actually from archives, and was a tramp around an old flour mill in the French pyrenees region. I was entranced by the way nature had taken off, once man was no longer present at the mill.

To my mind, it was the closest I would ever get to experiencing anything like the Bayon temple in the Angkor complex and the gigantic trees there….

Today, I have decided to throw the challenge open to anyone who would like to take part, as I realise not everyone wants to participate…… So, if you would like to join in, consider yourself nominated by me!

  1. That old mill has provided many pleasing images, Sue, including this one. Always good to see nature reclaiming our puny efforts!
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. That photo is perfection. Nature really has taken over – her rightful place!

  3. I’ll never get to Angkor either but I see the resemblance. I can’t help wondering what this will look like in another 100 years.

  4. very enchanted place, Sue

  5. How I love it when nature is taking back what is rightfully hers – wonderful shot!

  6. what a love place, and love the photo.

  7. Beautifully framed! Love it Sue!

  8. Ellada Valerie

Nature is my home. Great shot !!!!

  9. Wonderful shot … so difficult to capture the depth in nature, at least I have. You nailed.
