Seven Day Nature Photo: Day Five – Tempus fugit

I have been nominated by my friend Gilly, the very lucid Gypsy, to take part in a challenge of a photo per day for seven days, of anything from the natural world.

For the last few days, I have shown images that have been taken at different times of day, starting with pre-dawn. Todays two images were taken in the early afternoon sunlight, but also show the progression of time in that they were taken several days apart…

Perky daffodils, Saturday:

Fading away, today:

Today I thought I would nominate Pete of Beetley Pete, and see what he might (or might not) come up with from walks in the countryside with his dog, Ollie.

I would love to see what he might produce for this challenge….. No problem if you don’t want to take part, Pete!

  1. Excellent title and shots!

  2. Thanks for the nomination, Sue. Unfortunately, I have been laid up with a bout of heavy cold/’flu at the moment, so have had to cut my walks short for the last two days. Perhaps another time, when I am perkier? (Like the Daffodils were on Saturday…)
    Best wishes, Pete.

No probs, I just hope you didn’t mind me asking!

      • Far from it, Sue. I was actually looking at some unusual growths on a tree last week, and thinking that they might make a good photo. But my head is so bunged up, and I feel so hot, it is all I can do to wander around with Ollie, let alone concentrate on taking a half-decent photo.
When I feel better, I might just snap those growths anyway…

Do! I shall be looking out for them….. 😉

  3. You do fading beauty so well, Sue 🙂

  4. I love that perky, almost transparent shot, Sue

  5. Nothing says Spring better! (What a nice image of lacy and you can almost feel the limp linen type droop)

  6. They really don’t last long once picked. Love your photos, Sue. I would have just tossed them once they got past their best. 🙂

  7. Oh the light on these, just lovely, softly glowing.

  8. Nooooo!!! Don’t start on the daffs! 🙂 (See my tulips comment)
The first one is fabulous, Sue! Love the light beaming through it.

  9. I just love the way you photograph translucence, against that white background.

  10. Beautiful light Sue, what a pity they don’t last very long.

  11. wonderful photos, Sue, have a nice weekend, Mitza

  12. Very few things last forever …. and you have captured the happening … beautifully
