I have been nominated by my friend Gilly, the very lucid Gypsy, to take part in a challenge of a photo per day for seven days, of anything from the natural world.
Today, I am posting some shots taken early yesterday morning in a small garden dear to me… As I strolled in the sun, I saw plenty of evidence of spring. Leaves springing up from well-pruned branches, witch hazel in abundance, blossom in full sway, magnolia flowers bursting out…
Today I would like to nominate Janet of Sustainabilitea, who amongst other things likes mountains, oceans and deserts, to take part in the 7-day Nature Photo Challenge.
I would love to see what she might come up with for this challenge….. No problem if you are far too busy/don’t want to take part, Janet!
Good morning, Sue, and thanks for the nomination. As I do mostly nature anyway, I think I can manage to do this. 🙂 Love your photos, BTW, especially what you did with the last one.
Happy Thursday!

Glad you like my bit of high-key, Janet! And thanks for taking up the challenge, look forward to your take on it…
Nice to see the season changing, and to benefit from some vitality at long last. Nice shots, Sue, and the bottom picture is wonderful!
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks for your glowing praise as ever, Pete! 😊
Beautiful images, Sue. I especially love the last one. 🙂
Thanks, Sylvia – seems to be the favourite judging by comments so far! 😀
Lovely flowers.
Aren’t they just! A sight to put a smile on your face and a spring in your step! 🌾
You are more advanced than us. You give me a taste of something to look forward to with your divers floral portfolio.
Actually , this little place is more advanced than much around here because it is so sheltered…. Glad you liked!
Spring is such a beautiful time of the year! Lovely captures Sue.
Lovely images – so fresh and pretty!
Thank you!
Gorgeous Sue, I hope the sun was shining on the witch hazel so you got the fragrance!
At that point it wasn’t’ quite warm enough….
Ah, Sue…lovely! The last one wonderful!
It was a lovely sight in the early morning, no one else around, and signs of Spring everywhere
The last photo here shows your strength as a photographer. I am glad you are still doing these beautiful flower studies. I find them inspirational for my own work.
Glad to be an inspiration, Suzanne!
Lovely!
Thanks!
Love that last one, Sue! 🙂 You’d be so happy with my tulips right now. They’re tumbling, petal by petal, onto the hearth. Soon there won’t be any left. 😦 Happy Saturday!
And Happy Saturday to you, Jo! I have just got back from London, saw a couple of exhibitions to feed my need for a bit of culture!
Feet up for a bit then 🙂
Well, I’ve had to stir myself to cook my meal, but shall sit back soon!
It must be so good to see spring unfolding so beautifully.
It is!
🙂
Nothing so beautiful as Spring. Lovely images.
Thanks, Wivi! 😀
