  1. Beautifully lit Sue – sorry I haven’t communicated much recently, just struggling to keep up.

I saw your gravatar,Robin, and realised I haven’t seen much from you lately….mind, I’m not as busy on the blogging scene at present as I used to be – also struggling to keep up!

  2. beautiful, low winter sunlight!.

    • Sue

Thanks, Gilly! It was such a beautiful day I went for a short walk in the local park – first time I have visited. First time I’ve taken any photos for a while, too

  3. What glorious colours and meeting of earth and sky. I’m always partial to a good patch of grass – neglected part of the natural world, I reckon – and to branch tracery.

  4. Very nice, Sue, almost abstract.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  5. Suzanne

    Wow. Love it 🙂

  6. I thought it must be a night shot, Sue, but I’ve just twigged that it’s water in the background? Sharp as a tack! 🙂 Give my love to Viveka on Friday!

    • Sue

It’s actually trees in the background, deliberately out of focus to present a background to the reeds…. I didn’t have my sharpest lens with me, the reeds aren’t as detailed as I would like, but c’est la vie! And yes, if I remember (sieve head here) I shall most certainly send your regards to Wivi. So looking forward to meeting up with her again, but looks like we’re in for a wet day! We’ll have to spend the day in coffee shops and restaurants 😊

      • Ah, you technicians! 🙂 🙂
Poor you! She’s meeting Suzanne today. A fun life but doesn’t she have a heart of gold! Freezing fog here. Hoping it will lift by lunchtime when I have to go out, but staying warm with the Aussie tennis for now.

      • Sue

Wivi certainly has a heart of gold, and is probably the most positive person I know! We’ll have some fun, despite the rain….I just have to hope it isn’t ‘the wrong kind of rain’ for the train 😉

  7. Beautiful light, Sue. I did light for Wordless Wednesday today as well. Great minds. 🙂

  8. Such a graceful peaceful image. I can almost sense the calmness in the air. Love the lighting too.

  9. Oh I love backlit pictures. Especially taking picture of leaves so I can see all the nerves. I

  10. A photo full of light is heart warming Sue It makes me think of fairies dancing on the breeze (getting a bit poetic aren’t I)

  11. A wonderful capture, beautiful light in the one:)

  12. The golden beige and blues, with the white patches, are so beautiful!!

    • Sue

I love backlight, saw this scene from a distance and walked over…..but I had the wrong lens on, was getting tired, and the image isn’t as sharp as I would like…..hey ho 😟

  13. Really, a gorgeous sight and lovely capture!
