Silent Sunday

  1. This has a dream-like feel, almost hallucinatory.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. I love the black and white treatment, it really makes the detail pop. Your image is so engaging.

  3. You’re so good at creating atmospheric images Sue!

Thanks, Gilly! This was taken through some bushes to concentrate on the only remaining decayed part of an Orangery that had been mostly restored….

  4. wonderful photo Sue. I love how you achieved the soft foreground, which then helps direct the eyes towards the focal area!! excellent 🙂

  5. Hi Sue, well this is really weird. I thought you were away as I haven’t been receiving any email notifications of your posts. I checked on my settings and everything is as it should be, so I have no idea why. I don’t check the reader very often, I don’t like using it (I know, I’m weird like that). Lovely photo…

  6. so evocative!! I just love the composition and it’s perfect in monochrome!

  7. I felt puzzled and there was no explanation. But it was Silent Sunday… so I’ll just speculate 🙂

  8. So dreamy with the out of focus foreground, but strong image.

  9. Like two silent eyes. Shot somewhere in Italy I presume?
