Less is not enough.
It worked for me, Sue, grass or not. I like the progression of the colours, from green to pink.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete! For me, it was partly about the colours, and partly about the shapes – the curve of the clump, the undulation of the hills, and the patterns in the sky…
Lovely lines and palette of colours. I would have brightened the white grass tufts a bit but that might distract from the sky.
Yes, I thought they were best left! Thanks for commenting, Bunty
I like it a lot. It looks like a beautiful landscape painted as aquarelle. The contrasting colors are gorgeous shaping different layers and textures.
Thanks, Lucile! Glad you like it
It’s beautiful. That’s enough.

Thanks for the thumbs up!
Beautiful with different textures and colours. I like the different shapes and I can feel the air.
Thank you, A-C, glad you like 😊
Hehe… good job I wasn’t first one to comment, but yes, you are right, they aren’t grasses. I have told you what they are before (how soon they forget) – Rosebay Willowherb in decline. I got a similar photo(without the lovely sky) yesterday! Now, what do I think about it? Lovely textures and layers and very Novemberish 😀
I had you in mind, Jude…and I know I don’t pay attention to your tutorials, my bad. Anyway, I like the fact it was Novemberish in October 😳
I’m not one of your more observant fans, Sue, so I would simply have said ‘pretty colours’ 🙂
But you’re still a fan, Jo! And I’m glad you think there are pretty colours in this 😊
Beautiful image, Sue. The colours are very calming.
Yes, they were!
Who cares what it is, it works beautifully. The soft pastels against the darker, muted colors, the rolling hills as backdrop to the wave of grass (or reeds, or whatever) makes for a very pleasing image!
Thanks, Emilio! Glad you like it….
Colour, texture and good composition, what more could we ask? Beautiful landscape, England I assume? 🙂
Oh, yes – Surrey hills
That is such a gorgeous sunset; I love the colors and light you captured.
Thanks, Charlie – it was a gift of a moment, all I had to do was press the shutter…
Got a picture of these grasses on my last trip. They look spectacular in autumn, all red and orange, and fluffy 🙂
But as Jude says, these are not grasses….
This is fireweed 🙂
…or Rosebay Willowherb…
🙂
Fireweed is so much easier to remember…..😀
Gorgeous colours Sue, a rose by any other name……
Indeed!!
Lovely tones Sue!
Glad you think so, Adrian!
Love the colour combinations Sue and the pastel glow of the sky with the Grass/fireweed reflecting it back
Thanks, Pauline! 😀
These types of grass are the favorites in my garden at home.
Fireweed, so I’m told…
I’m not an expert on photography or grasses – but I like the colors in this photo 🙂
Thanks, Janna!
Great photograph dear Sue, colours fascinated me. Thank you, love, nia
Glad you enjoyed this, Nia!
I have no idea whether is grass or not. But I love the subtle tones both in the sky and on the ground. The purple tones makes it into a lovely landscape photo.
Thanks, Ott o, much appreciated
