  1. Lovely Sue, ethereal and sculptural at the same time! 🙂

  2. Possibly :). Love the delicacy of this one.

  3. It has a mystical quality, but I got eyestrain trying to find her ghost. That was until I looked it up, to discover that it was the name of a plant after all…
    Best wishes, Pete.

Glad you think there was a mystical quality, Pete! To put you out of your misery, this one actually isn’t Miss Wilmott’s ghost – similar but too small

  4. Possibly, perhaps that’s how she got her name!

  5. Beautiful, Sue. Almost like a dream.

  6. Fabulous image and title, Sue. It prompted me to read about the eccentric Miss Wilmott. So fascinating. http://thejoyofessex.blogspot.com/2010/07/miss-willmotts-lost-garden.html

Glad you like the image, and BTW, these thistles are too small to be MWG, but I liked the title! Thanks for the link, my late mother introduced me to MWG, and had a book touching on the lady, but this is interesting…I may have to have a trip to Essex!

  7. love the ethereal quality you’ve created here!!

  8. I love this dreamlike image.

  9. Or light bulbs? 🙂 🙂 But I like it a lot.

  10. I love how you used DOF here. The background is simple, simply wonderful, with the tiniest hint of bokah.
