One evening whilst in Lanzarote, my friend and I headed out from the Finca in the village and went for a stroll at the coast. Walking along a path lined with streetlights where people were wandering along in groups (so far, so mundane), we saw a plane coming in to land at the nearby airport – I found it extraordinary to see a passenger plane quite so low, seemingly about to skim the lights below it!

For more Extraordinary, hop over here.

  1. Wow! That is very low. I suppose the pilot knew what he was doing. Maybe it’s an optical illusion that looks to be almost touching the lamp posts. 🙂

  2. I have the same feeling every time I drive along the M25 😉

  3. There are quite a few airports where the planes seem to come in very low. This must be one of them!
    Best wishes, Pete.

  4. It had to be an illusion but its scary nonetheless!

  5. We are so much closer to one another than we sometimes allow are selves believe.

  6. Now that’s an exciting image!

  7. Such a great shot and perfectly timed!

  8. EeeK!!! (using my brilliant command of language to the full 🙂 )
