Thank you, Sue….have a lovely weekend yourself. I am supposed to be resting, but couldn’t resist checking out a mini HiFi system to replace Wire City….I need something much smaller, and digital. I took my speakers along for the guys to check compatibility…Yay!

  2. I know the names of them, only enjoy the view… 😀

  3. A Brown Argus I think.
    Nice!

  4. Sonel

What a beauty and such a stunning shot Sue. It looks like Aricia agestis – Brown Argus – but I can’t be sure. 😀

  5. polyommatus icarus (female)?

  6. No I’m afraid I’m hopeless with butterflies, hope you find out!

  7. I knew Sonel would know! I was going to suggest Bertie 🙂 Gorgeous shot, Sue!

I find this site really easy to use and agree it does look like the The Northern Brown Argus

  9. Beautiful image, glad that finally someone knows its name 🙂 Have a great weekend!

  10. I don’t know the name of the butterfly (but see that others do). But it’s a beautiful photo.

  11. A couple more photos would be helpful, but it does look a lot like a Brown Argus.

  12. What good use of your six words! A lovely photo too.

  13. That’s a great shot, Sue. I will leave it to the lepidopterists to give you the right name though.
    Best wishes, Pete.
( I counted seven words today though. Do I get a prize?)

  14. Wow BP is sharp eyed I had to go back and check it out, and he is right!!! Isn’t WP great for finding things out.

  15. I have no idea, but it’s a beautiful photo. Did you find out its name Sue?
